It was an honour to learn from Patrick McIvor this week in Toronto at #hairvolution2014. We had the pleasure of meeting Patrick at the Arrojo Expo 2013 in NYC. We were enamoured with his unstoppable energy and were happy to see he’s still just as upbeat!  Thank you Patrick, we look forward to learning more from you in the furture and wish you the very best in your latest feat, opening a new studio in Pennsylvania.

Patrick McIvor has over 28 years of professional experience as Color Director, International Haircolor Educator, Salon Owner, National Technical Training Manager, Artistic Director and TechniCulture Director for companies such asWella USA, Clairol, Logics, Redken 5th Avenue NYC, Matrix, Goldwell and KMS California.

He is also founder of HI Media Solutions, a subsidiary of Patrick McIvor Color Studio, Inc.  As one of the most respected colorists in the industry, the former Color Director for Nick Arrojo and Rodney Cutler in NYC, Patrick is a cultural junkie, a techniCulture Maverick, inspired by international cosmopolitan influences from fashion and global trends to technology. He specializes in social media and new experiential educational formats and guides salon professionals on how to communicate with progressive media to build business and connect with community to “Take Back The Social Network.” 

McIvor is featured in the book “50 Hairstylists,” blogs for Modern Salon, The Colorist and SO Magazine, is on the advisory board of HOT by Hair’s How, is a expert for Salon Galaxy, and is extremely active in social media and the press.
