The top 6 hairstyles to rock this fall

In case the leaves turning, weather changing and pumpkin spice lattes everywhere weren’t a big enough hint – fall is here! With each new season comes a whole new bevy of hairstyles. Luckily for you, however, the Element Hair team keeps track of them so you don’t have to. Here are the top 6 hairstyles trending this fall:

Wispy Updo’s

One common trend this fall that we have seen on many “models off duty” and on red carpets and runways alike was the effortless, wispy updo. It is time for all the laid-back ladies out there to give a cheer for this look can be worn all day and all night. This season, unlike those past, the wisps of hair falling down from your chignon are no longer a no-no. Take a note from Kendall Jenner’s book and give this chic style a try.

Hippie Chic Waves

This past year has seen the rise of the hippie chic girl. With fringe, suede garments lining shelves and oversized boho hats seen worn by half the crowd at Coachella this year – this trend could not be more on point. Leading into the fall, many ladies like Beyonce and Cara Delevigne are wearing their hair centre parted and long with loose waves. So ladies, this fall, if you’re looking to rock this look, start growing your tresses out!

Purposeful Bedhead

You hear all the time about how washing your hair every day is bad for your mane. Well, we have news for you – it is. One common complaint we hear is that after a day of forgoing washing, client’s hair is limp, lifeless and hard to manage. We have a simple solution for you – a good dry shampoo! This season is all about purposeful bedhead – that just rolled out of bed look, but with a little tweaking. Texturize with a dry shampoo and give hair a good shaking.

Sleek Straight Lengths

At nearly every award show this past year there were a number of ladies sporting long hair with an ultra-wet slicked back finish. You might even remember we recently profiled this look in one of our latest blog posts featuring the Emmys, where we showed you how to achieve this do’! Heading into the fall, keep this look lighter by having your ends free of product for an edgy yet everyday, wearable look.

Swaggy Hair

It seems as though every year there is some form of uber trendy, flirty, short hairstyle. It began with “The Rachel” – last year saw the “Lob” and this year Taylor Swift brought us “The Swag”. The term, which was coined by celebrity stylist Sunnie Brook, refers to a short cut comprised of long layers with choppy, uneven, peek a boo bangs.

90’s Influence

At Element Hair we never forget about the guys! This fall is all about grunge. Past seasons saw mens hair clean cut and more polished, whereas now hair is going edgy. Long, overgrown, wispy strands à la Kurt Cobain in the 90’s to be exact.
