Art Deco
As you know, here at Element Hair we are absolutely, nail OBSESSED. During Fashion Month, our nail gurus always keep their eyes open for new ways to spice up our equally nail obsessed client’s manicures. Their favourite? These art deco inspired beauties from 3.1 Phillip Lim comprised of neutral hues mixed with metallic tones.
Equestrian Classic
Messy, windswept hair, wrapped ponytails, and lots of texture define this ‘70s sporty style. Everything about this look seen at Tory Burch should be effortless and relaxed.
Furry Nails
For a few seasons now, nail artists have been playing with texture. It has become arguably, one of the biggest trends emerging across nail polish brands with texture packed bottles boasting everything from glitter, matte finishes, beads and more. Element Hair favourite CND kicked it up a notch with style director and co-founder Jan Arnold, bringing furry nails to the Libertine runway show.
Gothic Gal
We are obsessed with the bad gal gothic vibe seen at Rihanna’s Puma show and Rodarte during NYFW. Expect to see influence from this vampy vibe this coming Fall including obsidian and burgundy lips paired with grey ombre hair and slicked back tresses.
Wrapped Ponytails
First came the oh-so-popular braid, then last season saw the rise of the power ponytail. Sleek, tight, and perfectly high. This Fall, Suno dares you to once again switch it up, pull hair lower and wrap your ponytail with a glamorous ribbon. Our suggestion? Wrap your pony in a velvet ribbon for an extra luxe look perfect for the Fall.
Boxer Braids
First seen on models strutting down the runway of Creatures of the Wind, Boxer braids have since been rocked by everyone from Kim Kardashian to Katy Perry off the runway and in the front row of NYFW shows. This style may not be a new one but it is surely one of the most popular during Fashion Month.
Natural Romance
Marchesa drew inspiration for its Fall 16’ show from an 1800’s John Singer Sargent portrait. This meant all things ultra feminine paired with a flair for the dramatic. Skin was left dewy, with cheeks and lips natural and soft pink. Hair was twisted loosely into updos and pinned with jeweled headbands and clips. We cannot wait to play with this look in the salon this Fall!
